Reference

Env, inputs, the closed output schema, and execute errors.

Host env

Name	Purpose
SWITCHYARDS_SECRET_KEY_<SLUG>	Project key. support becomes SWITCHYARDS_SECRET_KEY_SUPPORT.
SWITCHYARDS_API_URL	Optional gateway override. Defaults to https://api.switchyards.dev.
SWITCHYARDS_APP_URL	Dashboard origin for CLI login, init, generate, and local MCP.

Inputs

Scalar slots for template names: string, number, or boolean, required or optional. Write them as {{name}}.

Output schema

A closed object tree, or nothing. Properties may be string, number, boolean, enum, object, or array. An array has one item schema. An enum is a string with at least two unique options and a PascalCase type_name. Object depth is four including the root. Extra keys fail. JSON null fails at every level. A present array may be empty.

Execute

Generated clients send slug, schema hash, and inputs. One attempt, then an error. Unknown input keys and missing required inputs fail before the provider call. A result that does not match the closed tree is rejected.
